MolySym is seeking dynamic UI and 3D software engineer with an
interest in computational chemistry and molecular simulations, to
design and implement a visually appealing/intuitive tool for
investigating, interpreting, explaining, visualizing and discovering
molecular phenomena.

The ideal candidate has experience in representing multidimensional
and dynamic information on a screen, as well as elegantly presenting
complex information to novice users. Will be responsible for
everything users see, feel, and touch.

The successful applicant for this position will start in January of 2008.

MolySym is a federally funded MIT start-up, located in Cambridge,
Massachusetts. As a growing company, we are looking for an
exceptionally bright and motivated individual who is eager to showcase
their talent, experience and leadership in a team environment.

As a Software Engineer you will:
-	Participate in the design and implementation of a new product
-	Develop and implement innovative ideas for molecular modeling
-	Implement new software features requested by internal end-users
-	Work closely with a team of computational chemists to improve and
expand the software
-	Assist in purchasing hardware and software
-	Prepare patents and research publications
-	Be responsible for project level tasks such as scheduling
development tasks, prioritizing bug fixes, providing second-tier
customer support, and ensuring adequate test coverage for a new
product

Requirements:
-	A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field
-	3 years experience with C/C++ programming language
-	Excellent knowledge and 3+ years experience with a graphical API
(OpenGL or DirectX)
-	Experience in development of event driven applications and graphical
user interfaces
-	Experience in transforming end user requirements into software designs
-	Strong 3D math skills

Desired Skills:
-	Computational chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or
physics background is a big plus
-	Experience in a research and development (R&D) environment with
demonstrated ability to analyze problems and propose multiple
solutions
-	Ability to quickly learn legacy code
