Locians,

Sean Eddy (Washington U) has been developing GPL, command-line, bioinformatics
programs for several years now:

    http://www.genetics.wustl.edu/eddy/software/

I just wrote to see if he will join the project.  In any case, we may want to
implement some of these programs (on top of the Loci core).
