Correct.  So, if you want to spend a full week, say arriving Sunday, then
you can arrange to check in and pay piles of cash for Sunday night, stay
in the same room and still get the group/meeting rate for the rest of the
nights during the meeting.  "Piles of cash" = $340/night for the least
expensive room (city view?) and $400/night for mountain view.  According
to meeting organizers, more rooms might be available at group rates
(before the meeting begins) about 2 months prior to the meeting, depending
on room availability.

Airfare from Chicago is going for about $975 (nonstop)  right now - that
includes the meeting discount on United Airlines.
