As I mentioned in my last e-mail, this is a Loci plan to allow mulitple UI's to 'share a session' (also mentioned in your security model). What we figured is you would have to connect a new UI at the very start of a session (so that the new UI is in sync with the others). And for security purposes, the new UI would have to log into the session. I think this is very similar to your plan for DL's to share access, but session sharing avoids the problem created by our need to lock volumes/networks.
