I'm not sure if text input in Python lets you use the cursor arrows and
backspace without getting something like
^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H  It probably does.  Using the up arrow
for command history would be nice too, but that's a little fancy for now ;-)
