BTW, I spoke to Gary about this when we met yesterday in Boston. I agree with Gary that Piper shouldn't be proposed as a bioinformatics-only system (some of the wording gives that impression). But I don't want to say "Piper/Loci" either (Loci will be the name of a model collaboratory based on Piper and not REALLY a software layer -- more on this later). So, I think we should word it to say Piper CAN distribute bioinformatics applications, rather than Piper IS SPECIFICALLY FOR distributing bioinformatics applications.
