  Just thought I'd mention the following URL too (while on the subject of
"R" ! ) .

  This is an *excellent* site which is centred around R.   This site has R
interfaces to -

 *  SPlus
 *  Python
 *  Java
 *  XML
 *  Xalan (XSLT )

 The "R" core developers are heavily involved in this project as well .

  Definitely worth bookmarking ..... :-)
