[ssml] Extracting blocks of seq alignment

Hi All,

I have been looking for an alignment editor/ script that will extract
blocks of multiple sequence alignment (when given the residue numbers
etc.) from a longer multiple sequence alignment.
Any suggetions will be helpful.
