Elevated ALT 10-20%. Clinical hepatitis 0.1-0.15% (fatal, 0.023%)age-related: < 20 yrs=nil; <35 yrs=0.1-2.0%; <45 yrs=0.2-3.0%; <55 yrs=0.3-3.5%. Rare: hypersensitivity; fever; dose-related peripheral neuropathy (<0.2%); monoamine poisoning

5mg/kg (max 300mg) PO or IM qd. DOT regimen 15mg/kg (max 900mg) 2-3x/week (3x/week in the continuation phase for HIV patients with CD4<100).
