W-Curve

The W-curve is a software tool used for the visualization and analysis of long genomic strings. It derives its name from the numerical mapping pattern recognition algorithm that shows significant potential for achieving visual consensus for the class of long repetitive sequences found long genomic strings. The W-curve presents compact, enhanced visual information of global genomic sequences and the effect of local mutation on global topology.

This is the W-curve of the other/geox352.seq. You can observe the 5 repeats in the last third of the plot. Each repeat is approximately 500 bases in length.
