Submitted by Ryan V; posted on Saturday, September 21, 2013

WPI invites applications for a tenure track (open rank) position with a research focus in Bioinformatics, to begin in the fall of 2014. The appointment will be to one of the three departments supporting WPI's interdisciplinary Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Program: Biology and Biotechnology, Computer Sciences, or Mathematical Sciences. Supported by the state-of-the-art LSBC research facility, the successful candidate is expected to develop a robust, externally funded, high profile research program in bioinformatics or computational biology, and to support the teaching mission of the university.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computer Sciences, Biology, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related area, and significant postdoctoral research experience. Resources for startup funding are competitive and commensurate with research experience and accomplishments.
