[Bio-linux-dev] QIIME installation issue

Hi Florent,

Thanks for the bug report.

It looks like later versions of dpkg have started getting picky about
things in control files that were previously ignored.  For example,
about a year ago dpkg started enforcing the rule that package versions
must begin with a digit and I had to re-version a bunch of things.

I guess you are using the latest version of Ubuntu and thus seeing this
problem before I do.  I'll shortly start moving all packages to the
12.04 pre-release so at that point I'll have to fix any anomalies like
this.  In the meantime I've chopped the offending line from the package
and updated the version on the server for you.  Any joy now?
