Actually, Mavric is an OpenLab (www.bioinformatics.org) project. Perhaps
someone there could help you out?

Kate,

Mavric can output postscript formatted trees. You can use the GIMP to
convert from postscript to other formats. By the way, Mavric is not
actually part of the BioPython project. It is developed by Rick Ree and
hosted at The Open Lab:
http://bioinformatics.org/mavric

Hope that helps

Hello there,
I have recently started using python for bioinformatics and have a
newbie question about Mavric. Is it possible to save the phylogenetic
tree output as a GIF or JPEG file? If not is there another way to save
NewHampshire format phylogenetic tree diagrams as GIF or JPEG files?
   Thank you for your time,
   Kate
