Summary:
Slash character terminates BIRCH environment variable
|
Original submission:
By default, GetBirch sets the path for BIRCH to
$HOME/BIRCH
However, if you try to install in a different directory, and delete the 'BIRCH' string, the $BIRCH envrionment variable will terminate with a '/'. This is a serious bug, since it will create paths with two slashes eg.
/home/sullivan/BIRCH1//lib-linux-intel
whick would cause important files not to be found.
Probably the best solution, which would circumvent the problem in GetBirch, is to modify scripts so that they eliminate terminal / from $BIRCH.
