There's something fishy about the current state of lib-osx-x86_64 in /Users/birch/BIRCH/lib-osx-x86_64.

There are numerous libraries with two names. For example:

-rwxr-xr-x+ 1 birch staff 4269768 Apr 20 10:10

-rwxr-xr-x+ 1 birch staff 4269768 Apr 20 10:10 libgtk-x11-2.0.0.dylib

For example,

libgtk-x11-2.0.0.1400.4.dylib
libgtk-x11-2.0.0.dylib

This looks susciciously as if there was originally a symbolic link to a library version and the link got replaced with a duplicate copy of the actual file. Is this an artifact of Getbirch?

There are lots of examples of these, and the size of the final bin-osx-x86_64_D.tar.gz has expanded from about 107 Mb in March to over 140 Mb now.
