    The Bioinformatics Organization is a non-profit organization that depends upon the generous contributions of individuals and other organizations. There are many ways to contribute.

    Donations

    Bioinformatics.Org will accept monetary donations from individuals. Your donations help us continue to provide the following services:

    • Free project hosting on state-of-the-art servers
    • Free benefits to basic members of our website
    • Scholarships to students in developing nations
    • Discounts in educational services to researchers and students

    Donors that give us a donation in excess of $300 will be acknowleged. If you are considering making a donation to us, please make a pledge below, and we will send you our "Donation Letter," which highlights our services and how your contributions will be used.

    Gifts ranging from stickers to mouse pads and t-shirts are available for donors paying through our CafePress store (more information will be provided after submitting a pledge).

    About your donation

    Bioinformatics Organization, Inc. is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA as a non-profit organization. The Organization is currently seeking tax-exempt status with the US IRS but does not yet have that status. Therefore, donations are not tax-deductible in the US at this time. Donations made outside of the US may not be tax-deductible either (please check with your national tax authority).

    The donation will enter our account for general operating expenses. We currently do not have the means to redirect funds to external projects hosted with the Organization, but the donor may request that the donation be used for something within the scope of in-house projects.
