Hi, Tim and Andor.

I also tried using the xorg-edgers ppa, but this makes the situation
even more complicated. That's why I backed it out and used the
'official' 12.04.1 -> 12.04.2 upgrade method described at:

  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack

My laptop display is working properly again :-)
