Hi,
Now that the poster already shows the CC license, it's time to add
that to the project as well. Based on the license type we agreed on,
I suggest we add the following text to each source and header file:
// Copyright (c) 2005 The BioCocoa Project. All rights reserved.
//
// This code is covered by the Creative Commons Share-Alike
Attribution license.
// You are free:
// to copy, distribute, display, and perform the work
// to make derivative works
// to make commercial use of the work
//
// Under the following conditions:
// You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author
or licensor.
// If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may
distribute the resulting work only under a license identical to this
one.
//
// For any reuse or distribution, you must make clear to others the
license terms of this work.
// Any of these conditions can be waived if you get permission from
the copyright holder.
//
// For more info see: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/
2.5/
I guess we will also have to add an extended version as a separate
file to the project.
If nobody objects and/or has any comments, I will add this to all the
files in BioCocoa 2.0 in the next couple of days. The current release
(1.7) still has the LGPL license and I don't think we should change
that. Howver, in that case the poster should mention that the CC
license is for the 2.0 release only.
cheers,
- Koen.
