Hi Joseph,
Thanx for the help but I am sorry to say I am not able to locate the "libread" library itself, but still I have edit the path in /etc/ld.so.conf as you said and also run the ldconfig command, I tried it with different lib directory viz, staden,io_lib and /usr/local but in vain.

Do let me know if U find the solution.

Thanx and Regards,

Anand Gavai.

If you can locate the library you need, try editing the /etc/ld.so.conf
file, and placing that path at the end. Then run ldconfig. After these
steps, retry the build.
