Hello Mat.
Your question caused me a little guilt pang! 
I'll bet I'm not alone in my reaction to those TCO remarks: When I see a statement presented as fact, which is so clearly dubious, and reflects so little deference to the requirements of reasonable critical reflection, then I immediately give up. What's the point? According to my favoite genius:
