Hi Ethan,

We at the Genome Sciences Centre have developed a software tool called
DiscoverySpace which can help you assign sub cellular localization to
your Refseq gene list.

Although we don't have the ability, as yet, to map genes directly to
protein localization, our application does allow you to assign the list
to both PSORT and PAGOSUB, both of which were mentioned earlier by Jenn
Grady. In the case of PSORT we store the pre-computed results for all of
the Refseq proteins, which makes the assignments very quick.

Our application provides a user interface to over 10 of the more
frequently used biological databases in the public domain which we have
integrated into one large 'warehouse'. Some of the databases we support
are GO, SwissProt, Refseq, Ensembl and MGC.

More information about DiscoverySpace including primers, tutorials and
downloads can be found at:

or feel free to contact us at discoveryspace-support at bcgsc.ca

Best Regards
