No, you definitely don't want to touch anything in the ~/.gnome/accels directory. This is generated by GNOME directly and essentially is a cache of menus, etc. The GNOME configuration files are found directly in ~/.gnome, i.e. ~/.gnome/ghemical You may or may not already have such a file. Mine looks something like: --------------------------------------- [Placement] Dock=Toolbar\\0,1,0,0\\Menubar\\0,0,0,0 [Graphics] BkgndColor=0.0 0.4 0.4 1.0 [MM1Graphics] BallResolution=8 BallVdWScale=true VdWResolution=14 StickResolution=15 SurfaceResolution=45 PlaneResolution=30 -------------------------------------- >> maybe it is wrong but I've no idea what it should be and there is no >> 'parameters' entry in ghemical to set it up. Certainly a UI for the preferences would be nice, but there are things higher on my list, at least. Documentation, of course is key. ------- -Geoff Hutchison <hutchisn@chem.nwu.edu> Ratner/Marks Groups (847) 491-3295 Northwestern Chemistry http://www.chem.nwu.edu/
