[ghemical-devel] Save as dialog: delays

On the  Ghemical  2.0 Windows implementation, we notice that the File/Save
as dialog can often take a disconcertingly long time to appear; long enough
for some users to panic and conclude the program is hung.  Is there a programming
reason for this?
