[ghemical-users] Problem Configuring ghemical-gms-1.07

OpenSuSE 11.2 on 64bit AMD system.

I am trying to compile ghemical-gms-1.07 and am encountering a configuration proglem.  The message is:

checking for gnome-config... no
checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/local/lib... not found
configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install

As I am using the KDE desktop I only have a few gnome packages installed and obviously am missing the package that containg gnomeConf.sh.  My attempts to google for the necessary packages have not met with success.

Any assistance will be much appreciated.
