Greetings,

    My name is Michael Mayhew and I am finishing my last year of
undergraduate study at the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, USA. I
have been using Python for about a year and absolutely love the language. I
also know C, C++, some VB, some Perl, and some PHP. I am currently using
both BLAST and Python in the university Department of Biomedical
Informatics' research on mouse/human promoter region relatedness to gene
homology and have also done background outside reading on computational
biology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics, in general.
    I know of wxPython only what I have read in the online tutorials from
their website and from the O'Reilly Python Programming for Win32 chapter on
GUI development.
    This summer I have plenty of time, as I will be working a small
internship.
