To answer your other question, no, I am not aware of another program that (1) produces derivative denaturation curves from raw sequence data and (2) uses emperical parameters. Also, the version of MeltSim that is now available does not contain a number of changes recommended by R.D. Blake. He may not recall this, but I said that I would put them in version 2. There is a simpler FORTRAN version which does not have some of the enhancements that I made to handle large data sets. It would probably be easier to translate the Pascal version than to modify the FORTRAN version, IMO. A parallelized version, maybe for clusters, would be nice too :-) Cheers. Jeff -- J.W.
