The unzipping is based on time stamp of the files, so if the remed
files have a historic time stamp (for some reason), they won't be
freshly unzipped.

One solution if the above guess is right would be to just remove the
entire unzipped archive and run the unzip job from scratch. That
shouldn't take longer than about 24 hours (the current incremental job
takes just a few minutes).

I'm into my last three days here at Dundee, so I can't look just now.
