and use 1/4-sized backgrounds.  (But 219 images?!  That's a lot of

may be a prob. I'm pretty sure you can run gimp from command line. It may 
be possible to write a script (script-fu?) to resize the backgrounds.

Yeah mine too. From that perspective, I think our pages are pretty 
efficient :-)
