If data can be stored, then so can loci. Remember: We will be representing everything graphically, and all graphics (GUIs, diagrams, etc.) will be kept as XML (biodata will remain format-independent, but we can still use XML headers or whatever). All we have to do then is manage XML objects: it'll make no difference if the object is a GUI component or a reference to a program (actual programs will be referenced, not directly managed by Loci).
