That is correct.  There are ways to achieve comparable methods (SSL,
etc) with the other approaches, however they aren't (and there aren't)
"standards".  I believe there is a freely usable CORBA-security
implementation; I'll have to look up my mail archives for the exact
location.

(currently, I've done most of my work/experiments with Java/ORBacus,
but have looked at Orbit/PyOrbit for various reasons).
