Where should I start? :) Deanne, Have you read through the description of the user interface to definition layer "API" in comProtocols.txt? It is not very good documentation (apologies) so I just wanted to make sure that the way to communicate with the definition layer made sense. I've just basically been making it up as I go along, so suggestions/questions/comments on it are very welcome. Also, does the code in the current gnome front (Pied) make sense? I messed up a lot of crap in there and some of it needs some serious cleaning. Since it seems like you'll be building off of that for Peep, I just wanted to make sure that what was going on in there makes any sense. I'm so happy you're going to be starting up on this :-) Jeff wrote. > Brad said he's preparing a new directory structure for Piper. We need that > ready first. Then, we can make a copy of Pied and strip out the Gnome stuff. Yuppers. Very soon :-). I've been fighting with my old c++ compiler and my lack of c++ knowledge on trying to wrap Overflow (as Jean-Marc can attest to by my many frantic, confused messages to him :-). I'll drop that for now and focus on just getting what we have working under the new directory structure with the new install process. I'll be using autoconf for this, so working out of cvs will soon require understanding how this works and all of that. I'm sorry to be so slow. I'm just getting back from a conference and one of my good friends is visiting right now, but hopefully I'll crank it out by Fridayish. Sorry again to slow up the freight train o' progress... Brad
