Bio-Informatics: A computational approach to molecular biology. This information project is aimed at complete understanding of bioinformatics and its applications, best for any one who wants to have a hands-on knowledge about this field. I’m G.Osuri, author of this tutorial. I have years of experience in facing numerous challenges in computational biology. Bioinformatics is an infant field, I strongly believe, unless you share what you know, it’s highly impossible to grow. My passion and responsibility has led me to success in every step I have taken and thus here I’m sharing my knowledge with the world. I have kept this tutorial very practical and simple. More topics would be added very soon. This tutorial has been broken down into various parts, initially explaining fundamental concepts of molecular biology and slowly pushing forward to the intermediate and advanced concepts in computational biology. A good working knowledge on C++ and PERL is always recommended before you start of with the tutorial, however the requirement will not be necessary during the initial stages, but during the advanced phase, with out the knowledge of the above mentioned, it will be practically not possible to continue. Finally, I would thank Jeff(The administrator for bioinformatics.org and a lot more) to have given me this great opportunity for hosting my project, with out him, it would be impossible for me to reach you.
I would welcome any comments and queries. You can email me at gosuri@gmail.com, I will take time to reply.
With best regards, |
