I am working as UGC Dr D.S. Kothari Postdoctoral fellow in the Deptt. of Anthropology, Gauhati University from July 2008 onwards. My area of research embodies haemoglobinopathy, beta globin gene, and SNP's responsible for various type of beta globin abnormalities. I am also interested in Human population genetics,Human mtDNA,and indigenous knowledge system.
