Vikas Sharma is currently working as Senior Project Scientist in the School of Basic Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, India. His current research focuses on computational analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS)/ high-throughput sequencing data. Particularly, use of comparative genomics and phylogenomics to study the origin, evolution, and function of complex microbial systems, especially those of clinical and industrial relevance.
