Oops... that's what I meant, and that's where I put the files.  Sorry.

The main concern I have is that using the Gnome canvas widget requires ALL
the gnome libraries and their dependencies.  I didn't appreciate how much
of a pain these are to install on non-Linux systems until recently.  If
the canvas were part of gtk+, then pygtk would be the way to go, no
question.  Gtk+ is a snap to install.

Also, Thomas knows Tk, so parallel development of Tkinter and pygnome
interfaces to the core phylogenetic modules might not be so hard, but
maybe this is unrealistic.

Tk is also more portable, yadda yadda... but maybe I should not be too
concerned about this, and just think in the long term, for when Gnome is
the defacto standard on desktops? :)

I'd be interested in getting other opinions on this subject...
