Hej,
Finally I succeeded in getting access to the new mailing list :-)
I noticed 3 messages in the archive - is that right ? - did I miss anything
important ?
As for the Tk versus PyGnome discussion ... I agree with Rick, it is still
to complex to setup on different machines ...
I struggled over 10 days to get it working on SUN and Linux ... I succeeded
with the SUN installation but not with Linux (there are A LOT of older
uncompatible libraries around which makes any upgrade from older,
preinstalled versions difficult)
* Does Gnome Canvas support embedded widgets ?
* are there any good(bigger) exapmles of using pygnome + canvas
I have nothing particular against gnome canvas - I definitely want to learn
Gtk etc. but I feel right now that I spend to much time on
compiling/installing the base libraries and trying to find examples for
the canvas instead of getting the work done ...
Jeff:
can you (cvs) import ricks mavric into the pyphy module and mail Rick the
most essential commands ?
I guess that would be:
cd /myfavorite/workdirectory
setenv CVSROOT ':pserver:rick@theopenlab.uml.edu:/home/cvs'
cvs login
cvs checkout pyphy
cd pyphy
.. edit ... change code ...coffee,cola ... etc.
cvs update
cvs commit <changed files>
favorite editor starts automagically --> add changes in log
http://theopenlab.uml.edu/mavric/mavric-19990428.tar.gz
(/home/httpd/html/mavric/mavric-19990428.tar.gz)
has wrong permissions ! (-rw------- )
I guess it has inherited the permissions from
http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~rree/mavric/mavric-19990428.tar.gz
