Summary:
*BAD* crashes under Redhat Linux 7.3
|
Original submission:
Using version 0.90, both binary RPM and compiled from tarball I get the following reproducible crash: Open ghemical, file/new/mm1gp. Draw something. Repeat file/new/mm1gp. At this point X is completely frozen, mouse+keyboard locked, cannot kill X-server except with magic sysrq . Worse, virtual consoles (ctl-alt-F1...) are now uselessly corrupted, displaying only garbage. The corruption is permanent until system reboots -- just changing runlevels (typing blindly on the VC) down to level 1 and back to level 5 does NOT restore VCs, though it gets X/KDE running again
Running Redhat 7.3, Athlon, Matrox g450 video, KDE
What are you doing to video memory and/or to X???
