It's may opionion that an activity ranking system would be DEEPLY important.
It's not easy to have a look at software proposed on your website (as for any open source developement site), for differences in documentation styles, relese policy, developement management and so on.
Hence to have a quick look and see if a project is dead or it's alive can save a lot of time.
And that would be a great help in making your site more valuable.
