Summary:
serious compile issue
|
Original submission:
I am attempting to compile molekel (5.0 or 5.1) and I am getting a segmentation fault when I try to configure with ccmake. I am new to molekel and would really like to test out its capabilities.
I have installed (presumably correctly) the dependencies: Qt 4.2, VTK 5.0, Coin3D, OpenMOIV, OpenBabel. I ccmake the src directory from another directory and it always seg-faults. I have tested 2 binaries of cmake and ended up compiling a new one... same result.
Here is the end of my CMakeError.log:
/usr/bin/gcc -DCHECK_FUNCTION_EXISTS=pthread_create -fPIC "CMakeFiles/cmTryCompileExec.dir/usr/share/cmake/Modules/CheckFunctionExists.o" -o cmTryCompileExec -rdynamic -lpthreads
/usr/lib/gcc/i586-suse-linux/4.1.2/../../../../i586-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lpthreads
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
gmake[1]: *** [cmTryCompileExec] Error 1
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/home/anon/software/molekel/src/cmakebuild/5.1/cmakebuild/CMakeFiles/CMakeTmp'
gmake: *** [cmTryCompileExec/fast] Error 2
Thanks. PS: What is the distinguishing feature between branches tags and trunk in the source tree? What was so bad about good old fashioned configure and make?
