Dear Colleagues:

I am trying to install linux in my computer.
My distro is SUSE 10.2, i have changed the pahts
in the binary file molekel, but when i write
"molekel" in the prompt to execute molekel
i got the following:


/home/pojeda/Mole/molekel/bin/molekel4.3.linux: symbol lookup error: /home/pojeda/Mole/molekel/bin/molekel4.3.linux: undefined symbol: __builtin_new

Actually i dont know what does it mean, i have tried many
times and it is always the same mistake,

Maybe you can give me some comments,

Hi, actually Molekel 5.x can compute angles and distances, just select the atoms and press the 'measure' button.

Thanks a lot for your comments. I checked with
YAST if "compat-libstdc++" is already installed
and it says that this package is alreadey installed
in my machine.

I have installed the new version of molekel
molekel 5.0 and it works, it seems
to be better but i think this version is not ready
yet
because i cannot calculate distances between the
atoms for example or angles and in my work this is
very important.
Maybe i cannot run the molekel version 4.3 because
of the libraries. Another question is if you have the
molekel version 5.0 in which i could calculate
distances and angles among atoms in a molecule,

It seems you are using Molekel 4.3; not sure but I believe the error you are getting is due to the libstdc++ version installed on your system which is probably too new.
You might want to try installing compat-libstdc++ on your system.
