    Feature::mod enforces "hand_annotation" source tag

    No matter what I do I can't stop Feature::mod from enforcing the source_tag as "hand_annotation". Even if I try to change the source-tag after feature creation it pukes that I am not allowed to modify a non hand-annotation feature.

    I understand (historically) why this is so, but I thought we had abstracted things such that 'read-only' was now a flag in the database, not attached to any given source...

    The problem arises when creating new features or modifying existing features in the (new) ShowSequenceContext window.

    Any ideas Dave?

    commented out lines that change source_tag to 'hand_annotation'. Does that do what you want? 11/12/01 15:03 dblock
    just pinging it your way, Dave... if you have an idea let me know and I can code it myself, or ping it off to Luke (his first bug!). If I haven't heard from you, I'll jump into the code myself and have a look after I have cleaned up some other bugs on my plate.
