Technical capability expected:
* Education (PhD) and experience in a quantitative field (for example, computer science, mathematics, or bioinformatics)
* Strong command of statistics and probability and the application to quantitative analyses
* Extensive experience with compiled (Java) and interpreted (Python) languages
* Experience and comfort working in a Linux environment
* Enthusiasm for working with large-scale data sets and gleaning novel/key features
* Demonstrable logical and analytical thinking
* Industry or production next generation DNA sequencing experience (e.g., product development and commercialization) is especially desirable
