RESPONSIBILITIES
A global leader in diagnostic reagents to life scientists in academic, industrial and governmental environments is currently seeking a senior level candidate to manage and grow their DNA business unit.

A strong collaborator both external to and inside the organization, you know how to translate relationships into business partnerships that maintain a strong and specialized offering for customers. You over see fiscal operations and can extract the implications that emerge from your analysis of contribution margins and operational budgets. Your analytical agility allows you to make solid decisions that drive short-term results and attain long-term success.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years business management experience with 3+ years in the life science market; prior direct sales or sales management experience with 2+ years in market/product research and management, particularly in the DNA analysis markets
- 2+ years business development experience, including identification of opportunity, development of term sheet and executing negotiated agreements preferably in supply, co-development, co-marketing and technology acquisition
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial experience and success developing new business opportunities, new technologies or products, and managing a business through various stages of growth
- Deep understanding of marketing functions, from research and planning to communications and CRM, including a solid ability to identify and leverage existing and emerging distribution channels
- Proven ability to implement complex, large scale strategic business and marketing plans in excess of $50M
- Working knowledge of the current technologies (STRs, DNA sequencing, sample storage and preparation)
- Manage a staff of 25 and more
- Superior communication skills are a given
- Undergrad degree in life science degree and MBA (marketing specialization highly desirable)
