ISMB 2006 Conference
If you have not yet registered but are still considering ISMB 2006 in
Fortaleza, Brazil, you should register and secure your travel
arrangements immediately. We look forward to seeing you there for four
days of excellent science and networking opportunities.

If you have already registered and are holding Varig airline tickets for
your international arrival into Brazil or your travel within the
country, you should reconfirm your flights on Monday. The airline has
just been sold and scheduling of all flights under the new ownership is
slated to be announced on July 24.

PLoS Track of Oral Presentations at ISMB 2006
The Public Library of Science is proud to sponsor the PLoS Track of Oral
Presentations at ISMB 2006. These twenty-five minute talks will
highlight outstanding science that might not otherwise be presented at
this ISMB - work that is novel, that is applied, that is motivating to
hear about, and that which expands the subject areas that computational
biologists traditionally have addressed.

One-page abstracts were invited and reviewed, and twenty-three were
selected for presentation and discussion in the PLoS Track, which runs
in a parallel session to the Papers Presentations on Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Thursday, July 8, 9 and 10. Please visit
www.plos.org/news/event_ismb.html for more information and a full
speaker list, or to view the full text of each abstract visit

Rocky '06 ... December 1-3, 2006 ... Snowmass, CO
ISCB once again returns to the Aspen/Snowmass area with the 4th Annual
Rocky Mountain Bioinformatics Conference. This year's conference is
opening the doors wide to participation from across the nation and
around the world, and will feature invited keynotes, flash presentations
from selected abstracts, poster sessions, and outstanding networking
opportunities both in the lecture hall and on the slopes of the
spectacular Colorado Rocky Mountains during ski breaks. Mark your
calendars now and prepare your abstract for submission starting next
month. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

RECOMB Satellite Conferences on Systems Biology and Computational
Proteomics ... December 1-3, 2006 ... San Diego, CA
First Call for Extended Abstracts & Posters
ISCB is working in partnership with the organizers of the RECOMB
Satellite Conferences on Systems Biology and Computational Proteomics to
provide logistical assistance in presentation of the joint conference.
We encourage those of you interested in these specialized areas to
submit extended abstracts for consideration as platform presentations,
or simply short abstracts for the poster session. Visit the URL above
for full conference details, and follow the Abstracts link for
submission options and instructions.
