identification of genomic and pathogenicity islands in prokaryotic genome
Home | Help | Analyzed genomes

A) Upload genome*:

 1. file should be in GenBank format.
 2. file name should be in name.extension format (eg. ecoli.gb, and not like ecoli.gb.txt).

B) Parameters:
Threshold dinucleotide bias    Minimum dinucleotide bias required for a putative genomic island
Threshold codon bias    Minimum codon bias required for a putative genomic island
Threshold %GC bias    Minimum %GC bias required for a putative genomic island
E-value (RPSBlast)    Maximum e-value to consider an alignment to VFPD as significant

  1. An example of genomic and pathegenicity islands predicted in Bacillus halodurans C-125 genome by PredictBias.
  2. Fields marked with an * are required. Therefore, only a prokaryotic genome, in genbank format, needs to be uploaded for basic analysis.
