"Open Source Software World Challenge 2013" is the annual competition hosted by The Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of Korea. This competition is mainly intended to promote open source software and expand various exchanges among open source software developers all over the world.
The criteria for judging all submissions include broad applicability and potential impact, novelty, technical depth, demo suitability, and other miscellaneous factors (e.g., maturity, popularity etc.). Student-led efforts are particularly encouraged. Grand Prize is US$8,000.
IMPORTANT DATES
Registration deadline: August 4, 2013
Deadline for submissions: October 6, 2013
Evaluation: October 7 - November 6, 2013
