The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet has today announced the award of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine to James E. Rothman, Randy W. Schekman and Thomas C. Südhof for their discoveries of the machinery regulating vesicle traffic.
