    BACKGROUND

    Proteome Software Inc. makes software that aids scientists seeking to discover proteins in biological samples. Our intuitive and widely-used software validates, organizes, compares, and interprets mass spectrometry data.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    We at Proteome Software are looking for an informatics, mass spectrometry specialist who can strategically contribute to new product development. If you have a passion for applying analytical methods and developing software to help solve important biological problems, this might be the job for you.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Practical experience in mass spectrometry. (This includes how experiments are carried out, how data is analyzed and how the data analysis software works.)
    • Object-oriented programming skills (Java is a plus).

    PREFERENCES

    • MS in bioinformatics, or BS and appropriate experience
    • Demonstrate good programming style, including adequate comments and documentation
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
    • Some lab experience in molecular biology
