RESPONSIBILITIES

SRA International, a leader in providing bioinformatics services to the Federal Government, is seeking talented bioinformatics scientists, project managers, architects, and software engineers to be members of a team supporting in Cancer Research and personalized medicine. The Lead Software Quality Manager shall have a Master or Bachelor's degree in a computer science, or related fields. They shall have at least 8 years of specialized experience in Software Quality Assurance, including management of test case development, unit testing, and automated regression testing. This person will be responsible for the Software Quality Assurance Plan, creating and implementing QA Test Plans and SOPs; testing functionality prior to each release on each tier (QA, Stage, and Production); and testing the product to be compliant with technical specifications and Department of Health and Human Services policy requirements. This position is for upcoming work, and full time employment with SRA based in the Rockville, MD area.

Other responsibilities may include:

Employs system analysis techniques that translates system requirements into test cases/scenarios that ensures that all the assigned subset requirements are part of the system to be delivered.
Manages providing end products to the test lead for review and approval.
Works independently to ensure full test coverage of the assigned test subset.
Develops project standards and processes.
Manages the generation of problem and change reports, communicates orally and in writing with the test lead and developers, and ensures the corrective action for these problems and change reports operate correctly.
Manages the development of automated test scripts that employ Visual Basic and/or C programming.
Ensures status reports are provided to the test lead on all test activities.
Acts as a mentor for junior test engineers.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree and 10+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Lead QA Manager shall manage test case development, unit testing, and automated regression testing using very large data sets. Experience in testing large scaled interfaces with multiple stakeholders essential.
Experiencing implementing and using HP Quality Center and load/performance testing.
