    Based on the powerful infrastructure and acknowledged research background, BGI will host the 2014 bioinformatics workshop on Sept. 15-18, 2014 in Shenzhen, China. The workshop will provide attendees with a professional platform for discussing the latest technologies and sharing bioinformatics experience. It will combine lectures in the most up-to-date bioinformatics theory with hands-on learning opportunities delivered by BGI's senior bioinformatics professors.

    From this course you will learn about the the processing of next generation sequencing data and the analysis of bioinformatics database. You will know how to applicate bioinformatics technologies from research and analytical methodologies, and you will independently apply your knowledge on informatics analytic software.

    TARGET AUDIENCE

    Ph.D students & young postdocs who are eager to learn more about high-throughput sequencing. A little bioinformatics background / some basic experience in programming will be better. (Subject areas include Genomic or Computational Biology or Systems Biology.)
